英语中考话题作文教学效果的分析与思考

摘 要:英语话题作文写作是初中学生必须掌握并能灵活运用的能力之一。然而,由于话题作文难以下手,学生在写作时往往思维混乱,前言不搭后语,导致难以达到理想的写作目标。鉴于此,本文着重探讨教师如何引导学生去解读话题作文,把握话题作文的写作框架和写作思路,从而提高话题作文的教学效果。

关键词:初中英语;话题作文;教学效果;分析与思考

英语写作是初中学生必须掌握的语言技能之一,是初中英语教学强调的一个核心技能,是听、说、读语言技能的重要组成部分,而话题作文又是中考作文中常考的一种题材。在实际教学中,学生的话题写作状况并不乐观,许多学生由于词汇贫乏和语法障碍,因而只能写出“中式英语”的文章,得分很低,从而使学生对写作产生了恐惧心理。面对这种现象,教师必须给予足够的重视。笔者认为,在短期内迅速提升初三学生英语话题作文的写作水平是完全可行的,但必须做到以下几点。

一、多样化话题导入要挖掘学生内驱力

话题的选择直接关系到学生的喜好程度。其中,新颖多样的话题更能吸引学生的目光,更能集中学生的注意力。由此可见,教师在选择话题时,需要考虑到初中学生的身心发展,选择能抓住学生眼球的典型话题,促进学生主动去阅读话题、揣摩话题和领悟话题,从而挖掘学生的学习潜能,激发学生的学习兴趣,调动学生的学习积极性和主动性,充分发挥学生的主体作用,更便于满足学生所表现出来的浓厚的学习欲望。比如:在话题“Teenage problems”中,有“Different problems”和“What should I do”两个子话题,为了让学生主动开口“Talk about problems and their causes”。我首先用中文对学生说:“我最近遇到了一些问题,你们根据我的描述猜猜看我有哪些烦恼”?学生一听兴奋地两眼发光,纷纷催促快点开始。于是我继续说:“I have had a lot of food lately”,学生立马说:“Worry about getting fat”。“It takes a long night to get to sleep”我继续说道。学生抢先答:“Sleepless”。然后我对学生说:“为了公平起见,你们也应该告诉老师你们的烦恼的原因吧”!话音刚落,就有学生回答:“I dont have enough time to do homework”。在他的带动下,其他学生也开始用英语表达困恼自己的问题。通过本节课的教学,学生参与话题作文的讨论积极性得到了很大的提高,学生全部参与在研讨之中,学会并掌握了本节课的英语知识,而且提高了他们听说能力。

二、写作技巧要以提升学生的写作水平为主

在英语话题写作指导过程中,教师不仅需要给学生灌输写作理论知识,而且还要懂得适时地传授一些写作技巧。这样可以将不同时空、不同角度的材料组合成为绚丽多彩的文章大厦。同时学生可以将所获得的话题写作技巧迁移到其他题材的作文中去,培养他们的写作灵感以及举一反三的能力。换言之,丰富多彩、灵活多变的写作技巧更能培养学生的创新思维,激励他们进行自主创作,从而可以提高学生的写作水平。比如:在话题“Know yourself”中,我给学生设计了一系列问题:1.What is you personality? 2.What is you appearance? 3.What sport do you like? 4.What food do you like? 5.What is you dreams? 6.What food do you like?然后讓学生围绕这几个问题设计英语对话,在对话过程中,学生可以加入自己的创意,这给学生提供了很大的创作空间,他们准备对话的热情很高。其中有的学生把对话情境设置在餐厅中,根据双方对菜肴的喜好去展开对话;还有的学生则把对话情境设置在旅游途中,表演得很是生动。在完成对话之后,学生很清楚地知道如何去创设情境以及书写这一话题。在本节课的教学中,学生在表演对话中,身临其境,情不自禁地根据当时情景,进行交流研讨,不仅熟练地掌握了句型和语法,而且还增强了写作信心,从而提高了写作水平。

三、现场写作运用促进科学合理评价的建构

教师科学、合理的评价是激发学生学习内驱力的重要“催化剂”。对于初中学生而言,由于他们正在逐步形成强烈的成人意识,希望得到成人的赞赏和认可,尤其希望得到教师的客观评价。因此,初中英语教师在进行话题写作教学时,应该重视学生的这一心理,以便在课堂写作评价中让学生意识到自身的不足,并乐于去弥补这种不足,从而让学生的写作水平得到良好的发展。比如:话题“Films”中的子话题“Using so... that and such... that...”,我在课堂上仔细讲解了这一语法知识,并且还区分了这两种句型的区别,同时例举了大量的句子来让学生体验两种句型,在讲完语法理论知识之后,为了让学生在写作时可以熟练运用该句型,我给学生当堂布置了写作任务“介绍三种水果”,并要求运用上述句型,十五分钟完成并上交,然后我迅速浏览了一下,挑选出学生所犯的相似的句法和语法错误,并对文章结构进行一一点评,让学生及时了解自己的写作缺点。本节课的学习,不仅培养了学生灵活运用所学知识的能力,而且通过这样的评价还能快速地帮助学生解决话题作文写作中存在的问题,建立正确的概念,从而形成科学的学习评价观。

总之,教师在教学时,首先要采用有效的教学方法帮助学生克服畏难心理,使学生对话题产生兴趣和爱好;然后让学生熟悉并掌握话题作文的写作逻辑;最后鼓励学生积极练习话题写作,并不断地总结相应的话题写作经验和心得,从而让学生的话题写作水平得到质的提升,为其在英语中考中获得理想的英语成绩奠定良好的基础。

第2篇:核心素养视角下中考英语作文指导的突破

摘要:英语作文是初中英语教学的重点内容之一,本文从有效沟通,自信交流;层层理解,准确表达;提高技能,提升品位这三个方面,阐述了中考英语作文指导的策略,旨在提高学生的英语写作水平,为他们今后更高层次的发展奠定基础。

关键词:核心素养 中考英语 作文指导 突破

在谈到学生英语核心素养的培养与发展时,著名英语教学专家鲁子问教授明确指出:“教师要将落脚点放在课堂教学中,放在阅读教学上,放在英语写作指导和训练上。”英语学科的核心素养内涵丰富,包含了道德情感、文化修养、思维品质、语言能力和交际能力等,而英语写作一直以来是英语教学的难点,尤其随着中考英语书面表达呈现出开放性,更是加大了英语写作的难度。

英语写作是培养学生核心素养最直接、最有效的方法,教师重点训练学生中考英语写作能力,极有可能突破英语写作训练的瓶颈,达到从整体上提升学生英语能力的目标。

初三学生面临中考,他们虽然经过系统复习后,已经能把之前学过的知识像珍珠一样穿起来,摆脱思维定式,但在英语写作方面,不少学生还存在短板,如不能准确运用英语词汇、过去时及人称,写作经常跑题等现象。

笔者担任初三毕业班英语教学多年,在实践中摸索出了一套有针对性且有实效的英语作文教学策略,即寻找最有利于学生发展的节点,作为英语作文教学的突破口,促进学生在新的起点上获得提升。笔者认为,要想提高中考英语作文教学效率,教师必须选题有所突破,开展有序训练,指导学生带着问题和思考,进行有效沟通,自信交流;学会抓信息词,层层理解,准确表达;提高技能,提升品位,关注热点,从多方面、多角度开展议论,发表见解,从而融会贯通。

“手持彩练当空舞”,这样的英语写作训练实现了在核心素养视角下中考英语作文指导的突破,使学生能写、会写、乐写,写起来得心应手,游刃有余,习作可圈可点,多姿多彩,闪烁出七彩光芒。

一、鱼戏莲叶自在乐——有效沟通,自信交流

怎样有组织性地筛选写作素材呢?笔者认为,教师应指导学生发现问题、探究问题,针对问题产生的原因寻求解决的方法,最后归纳总结,通过师生之间、生生之间的有效沟通,鼓励学生积极参与、自信交流,从而一步步地解决问题。

1.引导学生选择贴近生活又最能表现中心的材料

教师要让学生总结已经写过的英语作文在选材方面的长处与不足,并提醒他们重温已学过的典范性课文,借鉴范文的精华,强化学生的选材意识,帮助他们选择最能表现中心的材料。只有这样,学生写出来的英语作文才不会东拉西扯、零零碎碎,议论的句子也不会隔靴搔痒,词不达意。除此之外,教师应要求学生选择贴近生活的材料,这易于学生表达,可以避免学生胡编乱造。

如Unit8 Reading描述了一次地震,在写作专项复习中,笔者布置了一篇关于地震的写作,还设计了三个问题,并将全班学生分成三个小组,要求他们讨论“If you are a driver,how would you protect yourself?”“If you are in the cinema,how could you protect yourself ?”“If your mother is at home when the earthquake happens, how could you protect her?”这三个问题。笔者让每个小组围绕一个话题进行讨论,组员间的思维发生碰撞,学生也变得有话可说。他们通过参照课本内容,还引入了有关地震的经典句子,然后派小组代表上台展示,集三个小组集体智慧的文章很快便诞生了,学生有效地完成了写作任务。

2.积极创设教学情境

文化品格是指对中外文化的理解和对优秀文化的认同,是学生在全球化背景下表现出的知识素质、人文修养和行为取向。学习外语,尤其是英语,是实现国际视野和跨文化交流的重要途径。

英语是一种语言工具,学习英语的过程本身也是增进国际理解和形成跨文化意识与能力的过程。因此,在教学《How to penetrate culture into English Writing?》时,笔者开展了“Festivals around the world”主题的写作课,要求学生对比描述中外节日,进行文化渗透。通过本课的学习,学生能获得文化知识,理解文化内涵,比较文化异同,吸收文化精华,形成正确的价值观念和道德情感,并懂得自信、自尊、自强,并且具备一定的跨文化沟通和传播中华优秀文化的能力。这样,教师通过引导学生围绕主题展开讨论,鼓励他们肯说多说,先说后写,激发了学生的写作兴趣。

二、识得庐山真面目——层层理解,准确表达

教师要实现读与写的指导,就必须捕捉关键,理清知识的内在逻辑关系,强调结构的重要性。如教师可以通过以读促写,鼓励学生读英语短文,找出关键词,明确短文的结构顺序,理清短文结构上的总分、并列、递进等关系。同时,教师还可以引导学生在看新闻、听故事中有意识地抓住关键词,理清其中的逻辑关系,了解怎样的英语文章才是好文章,知道怎样才能写出好文章。

首先,学生要理解列举、并列、因果、条件、递进、顺承、转折等内在的逻辑关系。要想学生能够准確运用恰当的关联词表达逻辑关系绝非易事,所以教师要引导学生层层理解,理清句子与句子之间的关系,从而准确表达思想感情。

如Unit3《Robots》这一单元分析了机器人的利与弊,所以教师可以设计“Can playing computer games relax yourself?”这个问题,进一步训练学生的思维,促使学生进行深层次的思考。这时,教师要注重学生思维的逻辑性、批判性和创新性,让学生运用所学语言针对某个事件或观点发表自己的看法。这样一来,学生不仅能辨析语言和文化中的各种现象,分类、概括信息,建构新概念,分析、推断信息的逻辑关系,还能正确评判各种思想观点,理性表达自己的观点,从而具备初步用英语进行多元思维的能力。

其次,学生要运用思维导图准确表达。在中学英语教学中,思维导图不仅能作为辅助思考的工具,贯穿大脑信息加工的各个阶段,有效呈现思考过程及知识的关联,还能表达知识结构和知识信息,培养学生高级思维技能和知识建构能力。因此,教师应立足于学生的实际情况,运用思维导图,有效提高学生的英语学习能力和写作能力。

学生英语写作能力匮乏,主要是由于他们缺乏信息筛选能力、逻辑关联能力及篇章布局能力,而运用思维导图可以清晰地、有针对性地训练学生这三种能力,提高他们的英语写作效率。

三、大珠小珠落玉盘——提高技能,提升品位

教师应鼓励学生进行个性化表达,发散思维。如教師可以把过去和现在的生活状态进行对比,引导学生适当地发挥想象,畅想未来美好的生活。这样,学生不但提高了写作技能,提升了写作品位,而且他们写出来的作文会有亮点,像珍珠一样粒粒闪光。

首先,教师可以选取富有科学性和文学性的文章引导学生阅读,做到学情与教学的新理念、时代的热点相融合,并通过梳理整合找到最佳的切入点,使得学生的作文有亮点、有特色。

其次,教师可以开展活动,让爱与梦想共分享。如有一部名为《寻梦环游记》的美国电影引发了观众对“梦想与亲情”这一话题的热议,教师可以对学生说:“英文报《Teens》将在下期开设专栏讨论‘梦想与亲情’这一话题。假设你是汤姆,上周随父母一起观看了此影片,请结合观后感给报社写一封英文信参与讨论。”这是一部关于爱与梦想的电影,教师可以让学生论述梦想与家人的关系。这样,学生就有话可说了。对学生来说,积累各种主题的英语演讲素材很重要,所以教师应给学生提供各种不同的素材,并结合每周的写作训练主题,有意识地布置学生搜集素材,最后在每日的“daily report”环节分享展示优句美文。

最后,教师要时刻将培养学生的核心素养放在首位,并把它落到实处。教师不仅要钻研教材,形成明确的教学思路,还要明晰每一步的教学任务,才能有的放矢、游刃有余地开展教学,让学生对每一堂英语课心怀期待,在课上思维活跃,在课后回味无穷,达到事半功倍的教学效果。

每年的中考英语作文题都是动态变化的,拥有材料不等于会用材料,所以教师只有从学生的学情出发,有针对性地矫正学生的英语作文,并不断进行提升训练,教会学生使用素材,才能找到打开中考英语写作的金钥匙。

第3篇:归类写作错误,有效解决英语写作问题

写作是一项综合性很强的语言技能,相对听、说、读来说,难度较大,也是英语教学的难点。目前来看,高中学生的英语写作现状不容乐观,学生们对于写作不感兴趣,甚至厌烦写作、放弃写作,写作中存在着各式各样的错误。分析学生写作中的错误,帮助学生改正错误,提升学生的写作水平。

1. 对于词汇方面错误,加强学生单词学习指导

由于英语词汇丰富多样,词形、词义、用法等都非常繁杂,词形的变化也十分多样。面对这些词语,在应用于写作时,很多学生都难免用错词语,写错词形,尤其是近义词的使用更加容易混淆,针对学生在写作中的词汇错误,教师可以加强词汇学习的指导,提高学生的词汇掌握水平。

例如,有学生在作文中写道:I am going to practice my English and contribution to Beijing Olympic Games. I hope to become a volunteer and make some contribute to Beijing Olympic Games.在这两个句子中,学生把contribution 与contribute混淆了,说明学生对于这两个同根词的词性记忆存在模糊,掌握的不够扎实。教师对这个学生专门进行了这两个词语的辅导,强调以“-ion”结尾的词语是名词,都是由动词形式变化而来的,contribution就是由contribute演变来的。通过这种对比强化,学生对这两个词语形成了比较准确牢固的记忆,有效的避免了以后犯错。

由此看来,重视词汇教学,一方面指导学生归类容易写错的单词,进行强化记忆,另一方面加强词义的辨析,帮助学生理解词义的细微差别,从而更好的使用词语,表达正确的意思。

2. 对于语法应用错误,指导学生辨别语法差异

英语语法学习是十分重要的内容,对于学生写作的句子结构、时态运用、语义的表达都具有着不可忽视的重要作用。由于学生对于英语语法的掌握不够系统,导致存在一些语法错误,常见的有时态、语态、人称和数的搭配等。这就需要教师针对学生的薄弱环节,加强语法学习的指导。

例如,学生在作文中写道:I will not come here if it will rain tomorrow.学生这个句子中对于主句与从句的时态运用出现了错误,正确的表达是:I will not come here if it rains tomorrow.造成这种错误的原因是学生按照汉语的理解,“如果明天下雨,我将不来这里。” “下雨”也是明天将要发生的事,所以用一般将来时态。其实在英语的时态中,则规定在这类主句是一般将来时态时,则从句需要用一般现在时。教师发现有一部分学生会犯同样的错误,于是班上集体进行了讲析,让学生牢固记忆汉语与英语的不同,强化英语表达要严格遵守英语的语言习惯。

由此说明,语法错误也是英语写作中经常存在的一类错误,对于语义的正确表达、情感的传递都会产生不利的影响。加强语法的归类学习,增强语法掌握的系统性和准确性,可以有效避免语法错误。

3. 对于英语句式错误,重视学生特殊句式积累

句式错误也是高中英语写作中经常出现的一种错误。由于受到母语思维的影响,按照汉语的语序和习惯组织句子,从而导致学生在应用这些句式时出现一些错误,不但影响了语言表达的准确性,而且打击了学生写作的自信心。这就需要加强句式的练习,帮助学生抓住句式的特点,从而准确的应用。

例如,学生在作文中写道:It are the PLA men who are safeguarding our country day and night.这个句子的错误具有一定的隐蔽性。学生们普遍认为the PLA men 是复数形式,当然前面的系动词也应该用are。对于这种集体性的错误,教师在课堂上进行了重点讲评,强调指出:在英语的强调句型中,被强调的部分不论是复数还是单数名词,这个强调句式的主语都要用is 或者was,并且让学生反复的举例,强化学生对于这种句式的掌握。

由此发现,加强英语特殊句式的练习,使学生更加熟练、准确的应用英语句式,让学生感受语言表达的丰富,增强英语写作的信心,让英语写作更加有趣,写出的作文也更加精彩。

总之,学生在英语写作中存在错误是可以理解的。写作中出现的错误类型不同,原因各异。通过对学生写作中不同错误的分析归纳,有的放矢的指导学生进行纠正,教会学生自我纠错的方法,加强写作训练,有效的减少或者避免各种错误的发生,达到从错误中学习的目的,从而提升学生的英语写作水平。

Everyone has some unforgettable experiences. Last term my leg was badly hurt in a football match, and I had to stay in bed for two weeks. While I was worrying about school work at home, my classmate Tom came to help me .He told me what the teacher taught in class. First we should use cloth bags instead of plastic bags when we go shopping. It helps to protect the environment.Secondly we can reuse the old textbooks as possible as we can. In my class , most of my classmates have colorful weekends. In the morning, we usually study at home.
